The Answer Is No!

Noah dared ask this question today:

Can you plug your 110v computer speakers directly into the 220v outlet?

WHAT? I thought you could. Maybe that is the problem that mine don't play any sound anymore? Noah should come live with me. I brought home a dremmel toolfrom the USA to trim my dogs' nails. I was so happy to have non-sharp nails that I wasn't thinking properly. I put the plug adapter on the outlet and happily plugged the tool into the adapter and turned it on. There was a pop and smoke and the horrid smell of burning electrical stuff. Hrmm...that was a wasted 100USD. Oh ya, the wall outlet doesn't work now either...

And he's 4?!? I guess he's trying to keep up with the older boys! Funny thing, I had always hoped to have all boys! Lucky you! :)

Actually Scott, we have blown up a VCR/DVD player, the computer speakers, a hair dryer, toaster, blender, hand mixer...I should stop in case Kevin ever reads this ;)...We are all trained now, we have voltage transformers, but Noah, thinks he is capable of doing everything that our oldest does (like reading the fine print on electrical appliances).
